Thanks for the info. To clarify there was no gaming of the system. The interview invitation was an unexpected but welcome surprise as my application was placed ~5 months ago. My separation date of 1 Feb 2015 was my best estimate at the time of my application. I had just been approved for separation from the Air Force (which is the same day I applied to Delta) but my release was contingent on some variables outside my control. Long story short, my separation expiration expired so I had to reapply.
With the number of military pilots Delta has worked with, I'm sure this isn't the first time something like this has happened.
Please remember you are responsible for every bit of information you enter on your application. For example, if you stated on the ap you completed five months ago that you had no speeding tickets--and since then received a speeding ticket but didn't put it on your ap--you'd be in the wrong. This is no different. You've got inaccurate information on there, and were offered an interview based on inaccurate information.
The resulting perception could be problematic.
