I think having to have 1500 hours TT has a lot more to do with recruiting problems at the regionals/commuters. Regardless, hoping to dissuade pilots from staying at Spirit as a way to gain negotiating leverage is a fool's errand.
I hear that they'll hire 30 with 4-5 showing up for class. It's simple, they go to the better paying regional. I think the same can/will happen here if people know what other properties are offering
