I am sure you are a great pilot and the way it sounds very qualified but the Delta culture may not be one you would fit in. I didn't write this to be sarcastic just a truthful observation.
The purpose of my post was just to try to understand why. I'm not going to get major heartburn over this. If it was like this for every airline, then yea I would dread having to fill out the app.

In Japan to me it was beyond ridiculous. For example I stopped logging my XC time after I got the ATP. I saw no reason for it. Just like simulated instrument time, or solo.

However in the app for the carrier I flew for they wanted to know how many day or night hours you had in a specific airplane, how many night hours XC, how many landings in each model you flew. Hell I've flown close to 65 diff airplanes, I have no idea.

All of us (and we had guys from UAL , CAL and a few others) were like you got to be kidding me

So yes I'll play the game to the best of my memory and ability. Still think it's unnecessary.
