It's because they are completely intimidated. While you were flying upside down and finger tip formation after 4 months of training in a Jet, they were flying 80 knots teaching some kid S turns and whiz wheels. While you were the PIC either flying a single seat jet in combat zones or a 4 engine heavy overseas and likely into combat zones, they were flying a 30 pax prop job out of places like Madison and Omaha. I love it when Civ only guys talk crap on Mil guys. I don't see 45 year old Civ guys showing up and doing the Military flying, but 45 year old Mil guys transition to civ flying all the time. Ever wonder why that is? Just remember as they are telling you those stories the only reason they are in the left seat is because the got hired before you did.
All my flight time is civilian, yet I'd put my military time as a platoon leader in the Corps up against any mil pilot. Your broad brush is just as bad as those you accuse. Where'd you get it? Lowe's, Ace, or Home Depot?
