Agreed also on the clip not being possible to just loosen up.
May be a solution would be a zipper tie, with a breakaway in the back.
The best solution is to just get rid of the tie all together.
I can understand #2 but not sure what you would be doing a belt loader as a pilot
On the E190, you can get really close to the belt loader during the walk around. It's not likely, but it is possible a gust could flick your tie into the mechanism as you duck under on your way to the wing.
The forward belt cargo bin is quite low, and the belt loader is right there at head level.
