I believe you worded that poorly/incorrectly.

Because if you take a sampling of the new hires at (insert legacy airline here), the majority of pilots in the civilian demographic have TPIC time. Sure, they hire pilots with no TPIC. But on average, they are STILL in the minority of new hires. I know, I know, some guy is gonna come on here and say "but.......but........my buddy said ALL the guys in his new hire class were all FO's!!!!!!!!". Sure, maybe, but the average since OTS hiring began would dictate differently, WAY DIFFERENTLY.

When the amount of new hires at (insert legacy airline here) have 0 TPIC while there's STILL 1000's of apps in the stack with TPIC, THEN your statement would be valid. But for here and now, "0 121 TPIC" is not valued "over" guys with thousands of it.
