Adding jets would cost a lot more than just the jets, adding any new type of aircraft is a huge deal for a 121, new training program, maintenance training, new procedures, proving runs, check airmen, etc. This is a huge resource drain. If a company has the capital, it could be a good move depending on the type and their needs, but it's usually a company that's expanding operations significantly with a lot of business lined up. It sounds like the opposite of GLA at this time.
