Ground school takes place in Dayton. You are there 5 weeks. Typically, unless any major holidays fall during training, it is Monday - Friday, with weekends off. It is broken down as follows:
Indoc: ~8 days with an indoc test and limitations test
Systems: 4-5 days, followed by systems test
IPT's: 10 sessions (with systems review each day as well)
End of Course Exam: 4 hour oral exam in a group of 4 trainees
CSI: 3 sessions
IPT's are integrated procedure trainers. They are non-moving sims consisting of 7 touch screen monitors set up like the flight controls.
CSI uses the IPT's, but incorporates a full flight, with an emergency, and a return.

After ground school in Dayton is finished, you normally get a week or so off and then take your oral in Charlotte.
.......................
After you finish your oral, you normally get 2-3 weeks off before reporting to sims. Sims are in Charlotte or Cincinnati. You do not get to choose, they assign you. Sims should not last more than 2 weeks, depending on schedule, maintenance/breakage, and how you are doing in the lessons.
........................
After sims you get about couple weeks off, and then do your IOE.
You are paid 75 hours a month during training, and per diem the entire time that you are at any training event.
