I know the holidays affected which month the travel days went in. happens every year. Same for Easter. However Delta managed to board +2.4 % more passengers YOY, compared to our -2.4 % drop.

All of what you said is fact. You also need to take into account stage length, and departures. You can have more passengers boarded, but on shorter flights verse one longer flight.
It is not as simple as looking at one metric to determine our performance. Thats why they publish all the metrics that they do. Just look at load factors, us and Delta were off by one basis point. That does not mean we are performing the same as them.
Now my personal opinion is we are not loosing passengers in droves. What we are dealing with is that we do not have enough airplanes to be adding passengers at the rate other airlines are growing. Do we fail at times a drive people, yes. Do other airlines fail and drive people away, yes.
