It happens to everyone at some point. I can remember when, after we pioneered the HUD on the 727, Angle Lake couldn't decide whether to put them on the 734s.

In the meantime, SWA ordered 350 ship sets for their 73Gs and WE did the very same thing for THREE YEARS...sat at the gate while SWA was doing low vis take offs.

Perhaps at some point, DAL will put HUDs on their jets, but for now, advantage, Alaska.
