Yes. Back in the summer of 2012 I believe when Compass was doing some flying out of SLC, there were huge weight restrictions on the longer staged flights SLC-MSN/FAR/ORD etc... that's why Delta then decided to end the Compass flying in SLC, of course until the return at the end of 2013. On the shorter stage lengths its not a problem. The restriction is - second segment climb (thus reducing MTOW) - the CRJ9 sees it too on SLC-ORD, although its not as bad.
