With the proverbial writing on the wall and my family able to re-locate and wants to avoid commuting at all costs, where do you recommend a youngish couple with a 2 yr old rent in NYC?

It would only be for a year.
School is not an issue.
We like the nightlife and outdoors recreation.....

But.....will be subsisting on first year pay. So we'll probably be eating Ramen and watching Hulu. I need to be able to get to all 3 airports, as well, right?

Still, it could (should? Would?) be fun to be New Yorkers for a year.
