That's right kids, the contract, or lack of it, determines your quality of life and your pay. If this person was a pilot at Skywest, or another reputable regional, there would have been a much different outcome. Until Gojet and some of the other regionals get a real contract (if ever), go where you are compensated for changes in the schedule. If these airlines want pilots they need to pay more than minimum wage. A secretary who can't type earns 50% more than a Gojet FO. A first year FA at Gojet makes $2000 more than a first year FO. They tell you how much they value you ! Ask them to show you the money. Ask them if they will fire you when you want the contract followed. Ask them what they did to the check airman who refused to takeoff with a 15 knot crosswind, without nose wheel steering, on an icy and snowy runway. The same with the other airlines. Make it a bidding war for money and quality of life issues. Ask them to answer for their past actions. Show them that pilots talk to each other and remember how the others were treated. If they know you care they will make a lot of changes.
I have ZERO sympathy for Blow Jetters. You knew what you were getting into before you accepted that job. Now you expect us to feel sorry for you? Give me a break! It took 10 minutes, yes 10 minutes, of research on my behalf to realize there was no way in hell, I would ever accept a position at Go Jet.
Don't **** and moan about Go Jet and then expect sympathy. You did it to yourself, and you knew you were doing it before you showed up to class. Honestly, what did you really expect? That everyone out there ripping on this place and it's contract were lying? Did you think you would show up and the place would suddenly get awesome?
