I'll save them two days....pay more at the regional level and there is no longer a shortage.


I understand that many U.S.pilots, who are only thinking about U.S.flying still believe this. It is wrong, because the pilot shortage is worldwide.

I personally think minimum base pay of $14.5/month is pretty good for the-145, and $24.5 is really good for the small Airbus captains.

Ideas: AA/UAL/DAL guarantee pilot training loans and provide 100% flow through with number and date of hire at parent major when starting at the regional. Or, the majors hire high schools grads, just like UAL used to do...back then mins were a diploma and a PPL.
