My squadron had 5 single seat guys get CJOs, 3 got the psych hold, all 3 made it through. Something about our mentality trips the test. Surprisingly enough, as big a jack*ss as I am, I somehow did not trip up on day 2 when far more laid back guys did.
Rumor going around my Res unit (mix of heavy and fighters) and Husbands Guard unit (all fighters) is that the fighter guys that are laid back on the ground are "inconsistent" for personality on paper; able to be aggressive in the air but chill at home. The test is all about consistency. So put yourself in one situation (ex: FO on a trip) and answer all the questions with that mind set. Only guy we heard did not get hired has always had the "I am a fighter guy why wouldn't you want me" attitude doubt that changed at the panel.
