With all due respect to our former military guys, someone please tell Allegiant management that nobody gives a hoot what this new replacement guy flew in his previous military life. MG's intro letter should have told us stuff more relevant to what he's doing now. Maybe telling us how many carrier landings he had (??) was to cover up the fact he has no commercial time or that his past involved 3 scuttled airlines. Who knows, but former pilots from these now defunct carriers warned us that he's no friend of pilots and avoided commercial flying because he has little regard for us bus drivers other than to line his pockets. We suspected our CEO would only hire like-minded profit robots to whip labor in to shape and this vp's first letter to his pilots confirmed it. Instead of extending an open hand, the hand we felt was a cold slap in the face, all within a week of his arrival. His marching orders were clear: don't wast time gathering the facts or gaining perspective from the pilots, don't try to repair the damage from 4 years of abuse and neglect. This guy was brought in for the sole purpose of busting the union or at least beating us down to a concessionary contract (company calls it a 'successful contract'). If that letter came from 'employee relations' (ford and Harrison), bad on him for having his signature on the bottom. Not sure about vegas, but I would 'guesstimate' over 20% of the dudes walking the line in St Pete came out in response to this guy's letter. Just like MG's letters, this guy has a knack for motivating people. Classic Allegiant.*
