MPL is what's needed. Self funded and given a mainline seniority number from day one. That seniority number is compensation for having to self fund the training. They season at a regional under the tutelage of an experience regional captain, and then transition to their respective major.
So why not just get rid of the regionals and hire directly to a major, you know, like they used to. That way they could learn under the experience of a major captain. Arguably better than learning from a regional captain.
