I know that's not what you mean to suggest, and I see your point, but we'll need to make this an appealing place to work when the upgrade dries up (Since upgrading is what we have to do just to make what legacy FOs make).
Yeah, I'm not advocating sacrificing anything. This discussion seems to revolve around making the most money and I am just reminding everyone that the highest pay rates would be great, but slowing advancement to get them (via work rule modifications) would potentially cause FOs to make less money - not more - over the course of a career. To have the highest overall earning potential, you have to be in the left seat. That is true at all US airlines.
The company needs to figure out how to bake a bigger pie for all of us.
