The seniority list as of 12/31/14 shows 22 767 FO's hired in 2014, all of them from August onwards. One class per month. There were 7 hired in August, then 4 in each of the last 4 months of the year (except Dec, when 1 guy left for Delta the day after class started leaving only 3).

Two weeks ago, I was on a flight with a Check Airman doing OE for one of the Sept. New Hires. He apparently took his checkride in Nov, had 2 legs of OE then sat for over a month before his next leg of OE. He was scheduled to finish OE about now. I do not know if he simply fell through the cracks or the delay in completing OE is par for the course.

I flew with one of the Aug new hires right after he finished OE back in Nov. And I've since flown with 2 more of his classmates in Dec. However, that class was at the head of the line when it comes to OE, so their experience probably won't be typical of what 767 NH's will see this year.

OE is the biggest bottleneck in the training program here due to lack of sufficient numbers of Check Airmen. It's a pretty egregious oversight on management's part, given that the current hiring situation was easily anticipated in plenty of time to train adequate numbers of check airmen.

As to how long I think it will take the company to fill the 35 767 NH slots? If attrition continues like it has over the past 6 months, and given the training bottlenecks, I don't think they'll manage to fill all 35 slots before the end of the year.
