2) If you get a response, at all from the ERAU media contact, it's likely to tell you to mind your own business because the findings of this particular Star Chamber are proprietary and double top-secret and that findings are disseminated on a "need to know" basis,........ (and you don't "need to know"!). If this brain trust wanted us to know what they talked about, they would have allowed media personnel to attend the event. You could always threaten to file a request under the "freedom of information act" since the event allegedly include public officials from the Whitehouse and the FAA, but I don't think that would initially scare the powerful media arm of Humpty Diddle Aeronautical University.
Lolz. I'm very much a "pilot shortage" junkie for many years now, read and save everything I can find. I'm not normally a conspiracy theory guy, but this has simply been too good to be an accident for A4A, for many years now. The majors are hiring pilots from the regionals and low-cost-carriers at 3000/year as every other source of pilots is drying up. Smaller airlines will shrink to insignificance, large cities will lose air service, Congress will bravely allow airlines to use less qualified pilots and use them far more hours, to "save the country". This is a wet dream for the three remaining majors, and they certainly knew all this was coming long ago when they were insisting there would not be a shortage.
