I'm not sure if they want a certain number of hours, but I would definitely be 90 day current in any aircraft and instrument current as well. Of course having a current medical goes without saying. Back in 2010, while I was on furlough, I applied at Eagle/Envoy. I let my medical and currency go for a few months. As soon as I rented some FTD time and got a new medical, and updated my app, I got a call within a few days. They understood that I was on furlough and couldn't find a flying job for recency.
