I have read about the Regional Jet Training program offered by ATP and was thinking that might be a good way to get some initial jet experience before applying to an airline.

Has anyone on this board gone through this program and/or any thoughts on whether spending the $5,000 is necessary with my experience level? Any feedback is appreciated.
Just FYI, if the course is designed for a CFI with 750 hours its also for one in there 20' s whose earned 6 ratings in the last 2-5 years and flown 30-100 hours a month regularly. You could end up with a 12-4am sim slot and have long enough breaks to forget what you crammed. I am not saying you should spend 5 grand but if half of your time isnt in the last 5 years you are missing the typical new hires level of recency. Also if its been casual flying, you may want to brush up on approaches and running emergency checklists divide your attention so your not caught off guard.
