I bid a YS to pick up a good trip while sitting reserve, I'm the most senior FO on reserve so the trip was probably going to be mine. A line holder saw the trip and dumped a bunch of crappy 1 days in the pot and took the good trip. Now I'll be eating the 0-dark hundred reports and not even getting the reach around of a night out of the crash pad. I didn't look at it as I'd been wronged, it's just the way it is. I don't see how the 2 situations are different. Maybe after a couple years in the industry I will.
