Another thing I won't tip for is rude treatment of my crew. Many years ago, a driver complained about our complaints he was over an hour late picking us up. He started in on one of the F/As and I let him have it. I told him he would not yell at any of my crew. He could yell at me all he wanted but it would be in front of his manager or supervisor at the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, both got an earful.
A tip is for exceptional service that goes above and beyond their job description. I'm not tipping someone to run a scheduled van to the airport on the top of the hour. Are you waiting for us when we get outside with our keys in the van? You get a tip.
