What would be the best domicile to be assigned at as far as family life? Are there any domiciles that have lines that remain over night at your domicile? My hometown is a direct flight on PSA to CLT and I would plan on commuting. But if some of the lines offer more time at home I would consider moving in base to have a few more nights at home. You could just live where you are now and commute to CLT, you said the flights are on PSA so it would give you higher priority on the jumpseat and you could eventually trade for trips that overnight in your home town. To maximize time at home with the family you could move to CLT and bid for CDO lines which leave CLT late at night and come back early in the morning so you could be at home all day. Try commuting first and if you don't like it move to CLT if that works for your family.
