I think a more likely barrier to a SLC717 category is the 20+ yr FFD contract DL signed with SKW when we sold them ASA in BK. I read somewhere that SLC will be the first DL hub without any 50-seaters... but after those cuts, the remaining SKW CRJ-7/9 contractual flying may be too hard to break and replace with a 717.

Maybe as SKW becomes more concerned with flying 175's for UAL, AA and AS, we'll be able to bring the 717 out to SLC.
I don't think that contractual flying has to be out of SLC though. The last year they have shifted a lot of CR9 flying to MSP and SEA. CPZ and the 319 are doing a lot of CR9 flying in SLC that SKYW was doing last year.
