While your service is appreciated, keep in mind that in the civilian world, all pay and benefits we receive are a direct result of the unity of the pilot groups. It is not decided for us. Now if you have orders, you have orders. But to choose to run away when your fellow pilots are fighting to better the situation only to return and reap the rewards? Not sure how that would be received.
