I have at least one friend...but she is a chocolate lab...and no connections to the airlines. Not sure why you would make such an observation. I'm just picking peoples brains....
Well get your FEMALE CHOCOLATE lab to write you a rec and take it to the next conference. Plumb every contact you have at any major for a kick into the interview pool.
The reason I mention it is because if even people of your quals are willing and able to accept the terms that ALG is imposing on its pilots, then as a profession, they have little hope of making it better.
In the aggregate, ALG's terms and conditions effect the whole profession as a whole and helping them starve the company of new starry eyed applicants would go a long way in showing ALG that their compensation and work rules are not sustainable.
They used to have a great niche where pilots accepted some pay shortcomings for a great QOL. Now, not so much according to ALG worker bees and their recent strike vote.
