False. They have to let you go for ANY mil duty. If You want to go do 10+ days of UTAs/AFTPs, they have to let you go. They also have to honor a day on the front to be in place for the mil duty.

Now there are people that drop mil leave and never do any mil. That is grounds for being fired. If you are in the squadron doing ANY type of work, you are legally protected.
