They are planning a 3 days training event. Most lines only have 4 days off between trips, which mean that no matter what it will be next to a scheduled trip. I dont know about you, but my lines rarely have just a 3 days event. In other words 4 days off, 3 days on, then 4 days off. (Unless you are senior enough to bid a 20 days off line).
So 3 days of training will most likely be next a 4,5 or 6 days trip.
I see that they will actually have a lot of trip conflicts.

DL won't be on your schedule at all, just pay. It's not duty, no conflicts. Vote it down and they make us do the 2 days in base, they can give us 2 days between pairings, so no conflict, or the contract still allows them to do 1 day 1 week and another the next, no conflict.
PCs can still have conflicts with the 3 day event, and if done in your base wouldn't require travel so the footprint is 3 days. So if they add it next to a 4 day, you could. But because we don't actually see the sim dates we bid on, they can just add the 3 days to any trip sequence after a 3 day or less and there won't be a conflict
Conflicts are done as we know them for training, LOA or not.
