I didn't gloss over it, I just agreed with what you were saying so didn't have anything to add. My post to you was polite and professional, but since you're and angry elf I'll respond in kind.

Since you're so tough about the brake release do it on your next line check. Most of the time you aren't getting leg overs anyway because it's rare your line value is above your PTC. Just so you know they can and will audit your brake release. Since you are doing it willfully, you're not covered by an FSAP. God help you if you have an incident which isn't even your fault but something happens like I mentioned in my previous post. All of a sudden a non event for the crew becomes a HUGE event for the crew. You don't like the SOP, get it changed. But to come on here thinking you're Chuck Yeager because you release the parking brake without clearance is not exactly what we should be mentoring our new Captains and New Hires to emulate. You're a Captain. Act like it. Someone pulls that stunt on a line check I'm giving and the ride is over before we leave the gate just so you know. It's stupid and dangerous for the ground guys.
