SKW won't park all their planes, SGU needs it's gravy train! They might shrink but that will only drive up their per-unit costs since the senior guys will still be there.
But mainline will give the flying away to cheaper operators employing low-longevity pilots. As mainline hiring picks up, there will be fairly continuous turnover at the bottom feeders. In order to win (or keep) contracts SKW will have to cut pay for the 18-year guys...voluntarily or otherwise. I could easily see a 12/4 scale within two years.
The only good news...the majors are hiring, if you're qualified.
