While I don't agree completely with everything Route66 said, I do think if pilots from Airline A can do something to beat their competition at Airline B, then they need to do it. It's called capitalism. Strive to better your own company and put the other guys out of business. It's the foundation our country is built on.
On a last note, love the avatar. Even if we disagree on the airline biz, looks like we can agree on "Up the Irons!" Aces high!
My whole point with this is the pilots in this country "claim" to be unified under the "pilot" banner yet we all know that if one carrier can do better than the rest it means more advancement for them, more jobs and better pay. Delta and united wanted to feed on our carcass and we didn't let them.
No national seniority list, no ability to cross bid airlines equipment.....NO UNI-TY AND NO UNI-ON. Do you get my point on the hyphen?
Pilots are ALWAYS in a free market.
