I still have about 400 hours to go before I hit 1500. Was excited about joining PSA with all the positive movements. Since PSA is hiring like crazy, the upgrade time isn't 8-10 months anymore and more like 2 years. Has the PSA ship sailed? Does anyone know?
You would not see the upgrade that quick anyway since you would not have 1000 hours of 121 time by then. It's going to take you nearly 2 years to build the 1000 hours at any airline anyway so you would be eligible for the upgrade as soon as you get the time at PSA. Not only that, you would be a more senior Captain than all the guys junior to you who upgraded before you because they had the time. So really its going to be a win-win, you are going to be a senior FO very quickly, then when you are eligible to upgrade you will have some seniority as a Captain as well.
