When I read your post I thought to myself, so you only have to put up with this for twelve months. I don't know what magically happens in that thirteenth month, but I can't imagine it being enough to keep me here. Twelve months is too long for me to wait, I don't care how nice it gets after that. I don't want to work here anymore. This is insanity. Or actually, me coming to work here - THAT was insanity. I literally had a better quality of life as a flight instructor.
