As others have said, yes, new hires on both airframes are experiencing noticeable delays. I started indoc on Sept 22, finished ground school Oct 17, and then waited till December 2 to start sims. Did my LOE on Dec 20 and my first day of IOE on Dec. 29. So that gives you an idea. I've heard the delays are longer now.

But I'd still take the CRJ if I was applying now. The majority of Bro pilots appear to be bidding the 175, meaning that very few new hires are getting the 175. And those that do get West Coast 175 bases may well get displaced by the transitioning Bro guys. I'm still concerned about that possibility for myself (just got awarded SFO on the RJ) but the likelihood of displacement on the 175 is bigger. I think.
