That ATC recording, of the crew in their last moments attempting to fly that broken airplane to a safe landing, is one of the most chilling and inspiring I have ever heard. Chilling, because you know what's going to happen. But also inspiring, because those were the voices of two highly-trained professionals who did it right. It is just so horribly sad that nothing could have brought them home safely that day, given the condition of their aircraft.
