You math is way off, you have not taken into account those that will not have their 1000 sic time or even those that do have it but feel they need more time in the right seat or just like being a senior FO. There will also be something called attrition that you have not counted for either. My buddy is a sim instructor here, they are being told that that quick upgrades will be around for quite some time and anyone with the required time can expect a 6-8 month upgrade for the next two years and now probably well into 2017. For anyone else you will basicjally be able to hold a spot in the next upgrade class when you hit 1000 hrs. In just the last two upgrade bids the jr captain spot went from March to August 2014. It is amazing how many people come on here to try and dispute the short upgrade time over here without knowing any of the facts. The staffing needed for aircraft deliveries is about 700 pilots in 2015 and 700 more in 2016 and probably 500ish in 2017 for attrition and the rest of the 700s. The stupid short upgrades have only started.......
