If you're really cheap you can use stay late/come in early or days off and use Delta machines in the classrooms, but I liked being able to plug away at the hotel & home. As an aside, there are things that don't run on the company Surface (bidding desktop app, quarterly Delta training CDs & Turbotax for three), so I'm still getting mileage out of my cheap laptop while I'm out on trips even now (summer 2014 hire).
