I don't mind a 2-3 term as long as it's a new contract we find acceptable and not some extension of our crappy contract. Why sign a 5 year deal when ultimately a 5 year deal becomes 7-10? Even with a long term contract, if things were to get bad one day it doesn't stop any management from coming for concessions mid term. It does however extend the pilot groups opportunity to get their next raise if times remain good. 2-3 contracts are the sweet spot now IMO.
