How are they going to do that without free wifi available at every gate, in every airport, in every country we serve?

Haven't done international flying, but I don't think it is that big of a deal to get wifi to every gate we use in the world. I guarantee you that every airport we serve has internet access. Takes some money and the Geek Squad to run some wires and place routers everywhere. It's not there right now because we haven't needed it yet. I don't think it is that big of a project, but I may be wrong.
I'll bet we have satellite wifi routers on every airplane within 5 years that work globally. I'm sure they will break though, so wifi at all gates is probably more likely. Then it all goes to hell when we get a solar flare and we will have to call badflaps and figure out how to plan and file a flight.
