Both are high frequency ops. 4-5 leg days are common and always will be. ATL has vastly superior trip mixes right now, whereas NYC is predominately shorter, radically non commutable trips. That will likely change somewhat, but will always remain prevalent as that is the nature of NYC domestic particularly high cycle short hop flying.
Reserve utilization is completely different that it will be in a few short months. For a while bases got ahead/fat for anticipated deliveries. That is starting to settle and probably by summer or fall at the latest, all bases will be short/min staffed all of the time.
Thanks Gloopy. I'm trying to figure out how likely it is that ATL 717 will see movement again. Is there an AE coming out soon?
