If you don't like the 18 day schedule there is a LOA that allows you to request a 7/7 line after your sim is complete. They will assign you a line that matches up with a training captain. After your IOE is complete they can move you to another 7/7 line.

No wait on insurance. I think pay begins on day 1 of indoc.
