I have the same question regarding LAX. I'm still not decided between 7ER and 73N to get me the soonest to the west coast.
I know 7ER is shrinking and 73N isn't.
So I guess I'd spend more time on reserve on the 7ER compared to the 73N.
How is the reserve in LAX on both planes (QOL speaking) ?

I can't speak for LAX but if you live in base while on reserve, your QOL will be very good. I finally made it home after 3 years of commuting and I am too junior to hold reserve in my base. That will likely change but for Feb 16 of the bottom 17 pilots got lines. Goes to show how many senior folks prefer to bid reserve lines. YMMV.
