I'm not based in LA, so I can't speak directly to reserve there, but in general, if you live in base, reserve isn't bad at all. You'll end up doing all nighters as those are the trips most frequently dropped, and if you are in the ER, you'll be doing mostly domestic trips as the international stuff goes more senior. With the way things are going, you should move up relatively quickly, and we are getting more 737s and retiring 757s. I'd guess, and it's only a guess, that your QOL would improve more quickly with the 737. Good luck, and welcome!
