The EFB LOA is out. I'm not quite sure if I'm fond of the reimbursement bit should one leave the company. I would think the device if in good condition should be able to be given back at no cost to the pilot. (I suppose that applies if you sell it back but the onus remains with the pilot to find a buyer). Glad to see the process in the final stretch though, everyone especially commuters will welcome the reprieve I'm sure.

I can't believe the union negotiated in favor of writing that into the MOU. But they know they have to buy 7,000 of them between all 3 groups and we all know the reality is all 3 sides will shrink. Yeah, they could just give the device to your replacement, but that's the thing, as people leave for the most part, they don't need new FO's. They'll be left holding a tablet that was obsolete before they even purchased them and nobody who will need to use it. It's probably also a cheap, desperate attempt to slow attrition too.
