I would agree with the others: pick the path of least commute. What about Compass or even Endeavor? a DTW base would be good for you. Like others have said, if you are ex military with no skeletons, you'll be at a major in no time so upgrade times and other things pertinent to the average regional new hire are of less concern to you right now.
