The trips I posted, have been open for days, look at crew track. (F4278 2/16, F4030 2/17 )
If they are training trips, they should indicate that. (OE, trng, etc.)
It is unacceptable to hear instances of pilots calling to pick up trips, only to be told they are unavailable.
Later those same trips are broken up, assigned to reserves, or worse, other pilots.
Yesterday, trips showed up briefly in open time for minutes, after being open and unposted for several days. Why?
A previous poster wrote about the practice of posting trips only once inside the 2 calendar day window, when only CS has the power to assign them.
This is relatively minor compared to other violations such as reserve callout priority, breaking up trips to accommodate CS, flying outside duty etc.
Talking about it here, is just good info. These issues need to be addressed.
We must stop this, before it becomes the norm.
We do not want to fall into the trap of, "that's how we've always done it"
Evidence of any violations needs to be presented to our Shed. committee.
There is a conflict of interest however, when side deals stand in the way.
CS is reading this forum, and I do not see those helos hovering yet
