I really do appreciate the feedback here. It is all very interesting. As I said before, I'm going into this knowing the next few years are going to be brutal. Are there other options, sure. But my primary goal is/was to get in, work hard, hopefully move up in seniority, and not waste any more time. Perhaps the 2000hrs of dual was clouding my judgement....lol!?
Why can't you do all that at airlines that don't have a 7-10 year upgrade to Captain? You use the word brutal but its not the right word. How about these- depressed, angry, disillusioned, helpless, hopeless, resigned. Those would be more appropriate. Ex Republic pilots are going to Mesa (yes f*cking Mesa) and claiming things are so much better then they have ever experienced. Mesa being the place where FO's used to dress up in uniform and grocery shop together with food stamps.
