As a long-time watcher here and a corporate chief pilot, I'll weigh in. I agree experienced corporate guys can make fine 121 pilots (I was one), but the hiring has been concentrated on separating military pilots, flows and a small number of regional off the street pilots. Corporates are seen, at present, as too different, lack the network and will be chancy at fitting into an airline operation. This will change as hiring pool is depleted.

Most of the skills of corporates are little needed or appreciated by airline hiring boards. They don't make their own flight plans, arrangements and passenger handling skills end with a locked door.
